Capitol Region Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) has served the communities of Greater Providence for over 30 years.  The program gives retired seniors the opportunity to offer their knowledge, experience and skills to the community by volunteering at various local organizations.  RSVP volunteers mentor young children, serve meals at soup kitchens, provide health care services for seniors, and organize fundraisers for several local charities.  The program functioned for 25 years under auspices of the Volunteer Center of Rhode Island and has grown to include over 650 volunteers in the surrounding Providence area. Capitol Region RSVP has recently been awarded to the Federal Hill House for further development of programming and senior volunteers!
