Culinary Training Program
 

What is the Culinary Training Program?...

The Culinary Training Program is a certificate program that provides the basic skills and training to work in the food service industry. Classes offered are bilingual (English & Spanish). The program is a partnership between Federal Hill House Association and the Community College of Rhode Island.

Who can enroll?...

Any person who is currently unemployed, has registered with the Department of Labor and Training, has limited English knowledge and passed CASSAS requirements.

When & where are classes held?...

Classes will be held Monday - Friday between 9:00 am - 2:00 pm. Classes will be located at Federal Hill House and Community College of Rhode Island’s Providence Campus.Culinary Training Program

• Identification & Use of Kitchen Equipment
• Food Safety
• Basic Knife Skills
• Methods of Cooking
• Reading & Following Recipes
• Interview/Job Development Skills
• Teamwork and Leadership Skills
