Bridging School and After-School for a Seamless Learning Experience
Learning is most effective when it’s consistent, connected, and engaging. That’s why our program is designed to extend and enhance the school day by working hand-in-hand with teachers, principals, and school staff.
Here’s how we ensure a strong connection between school and our after-school program:
- Aligned Learning—We collaborate closely with schools to integrate their curriculum, strategies, and resources into our programming.
- Ongoing Communication—Our team stays in touch with teachers and staff to support student success.
- Homework Support—We provide dedicated time for students to start their homework and keep families informed about priorities.
- School Involvement—Our FHH site coordinator and program manager actively participate in the School Improvement Team, ensuring we’re aligned with school goals and best practices.

Supporting Multilingual Learners
We are deeply committed to empowering multilingual learners (MLLs) by creating an inclusive, language-rich environment that supports English Language Development through meaningful, everyday interactions.
- Engaging Conversations—Our staff encourage communication and vocabulary growth through structured activities, games, and daily routines—from snack time to read-alouds.
- Peer Interaction—We foster supportive peer connections to help students practice language skills in a natural, comfortable setting.
- Coached & Trained Staff—Our team receives ongoing coaching to engage students in ways that reinforce classroom learning and help them gain confidence in their language skills.
At FHH, we’re not just an after-school program—we’re a community that nurtures learning, builds connections, and helps every child succeed!
