School Age Child Care

The School Age Child Care (SACC) program offers before and after school programming that engages children with enrichment activities, homework assistance, arts and crafts, outdoor play, and transportation to and from school.

Federal Hill House’s School Age Program serves children from Kindergarten -12 years old. We open early, serve breakfast, offer enrichment, and take children to school safely and on time while their caregivers are working. We again pick up children from school, provide snacks, help with the homework, play outside, and offer a variety of youth development opportunities. Our staff reflect the community we serve and are excellent role models. Children find a positive peer group and a home away from home in our school age child care program.

SACC runs Monday – Friday, 7:00am to 5:30pm. We are open most school vacation days.

Federal Hill House is also pleased to lead the “Morning Stars” before school program at Harry Kizirian Elementary School in Providence through its partnership with the Central Providence Opportunities, an initiative of ONE Neighborhood Builders (ONE|NB). The morning stars program aims to reduce chronic absenteeism by providing families before school care options that focus on students’ socio-emotional needs. This includes a light snack, arts and crafts, outdoor play, and activities encouraging teamwork, creativity, and leadership. This program is free for students who qualify.
