Food Pantry

Federal Hill House helps individuals and families put healthy food on their table, every day.

Individuals and families can access the Federal Hill Food Center twice a month for up to a week’s worth of food, for free, each visit. We offer culturally responsive fresh produce, pantry staples, dairy and meat for folks living in the ZIP codes 02909, 02908, 02903, 02907 & 02905.

Our Federal Hill Food Center is located at 35 Swiss Street, in Providence, and is open Tuesday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. For more information, please contact Jennifer Bisio at (401) 421-1095.

Please bring your own bags if you have them. The food pantry entrance is clearly marked in the rear of the building to the right as you stand in the parking lot facing the building.

Food Center guests can also access our Family Support Team, who can provide information, referrals, and a “warm handoff” to a variety of programs and resources both at FHH and in our community. They can also help with benefits application and navigation, child development information, and parenting support.

We often have access to diapers thanks to our partnership with Project Undercover.

As a key access point within this community, FHH’s Food Pantry served 4,096 unique households across 23,046 visits in 2025, distributing nearly 800,000 pounds of nutritious food to 11,924 individuals. Our food is donated by the RI Community Food Bank, Farm Fresh Rhode Island, and retail partners including Shaw’s, Stop & Shop, Price Rite & Target.

We count on dozens of volunteers each week! Click here to learn more about volunteer opportunities in our food pantries!
