Early Learning Center – Now Enrolling!
Looking for a great place for your little ones to learn and grow? Look no further than FHH’s Early Learning Center! We’re a BrightStars-rated, full-day, year-round care program for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years. Our program uses the Creative Curriculum, a respected research-based preschool curriculum designed to help kids reach their full potential through a variety of activities and experiences to help children learn and grow. We participate in the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) to provide meals and nourishment to enrolled children. We also accept DHS child care subsidies and private pay. School Age After School Program Sign-Up
“Before I came here, my mom just dropped me off with my sister after school. I would just sit. Now, after school I come here and it’s more fun. It’s better than being at home. The staff here are nice, your friends are here, and everyday we learn something new. It’s not just any learning, it’s fun learning! We get to relax our brains here and not just sit at home and watch TV. And you make friends every day!” – Kiomie, age 9
FHH’s after school program at our Swiss Street location in Federal Hill offers homework support, small group STEAM activities, outdoor play, and much more! Transportation will be provided or can be requested for students from George J. West, Times 2, Levington, Young Woods, Pleasant View, Kennedy, Veazie Street, and William D’Abate Elementary Schools. Fill out our interest form below to begin the enrollment process, or contact Chrissy at cschoenberg@federalhillhouse.org or call (401) 855-8012.
New Providence Talks Playgroups!
If you have children under 3, and you’re not familiar with the Providence Talks program, now is a great time to get started! Providence Talks is a free program that helps parents and caregivers create the foundation for early language and literacy development by playing, talking, and reading with their young children. The model revolves around free playgroups that parents and children attend to help increase interactive talk between parents / caregivers and their child(ren). You will learn new play and parenting techniques to increase your child’s vocabulary and language skills, and support your child’s growth through interaction with other children. New playgroups will be starting this month, you can find the schedule at the link below!
